Video for the Web/Power Point/Home Computer Editing
We can transfer your videos to any number of formats
for you to upload to your Web Site, You Tube, or to
integrate into a Power Point presentation or home
editing program. Just let us know what format you need,
or if you do not know, tell us what you intend to use it
for, and we can recommend the best format to meet your
needs. The price below covers any single file up to 20
minutes from all consumer formats. Additional minutes of
run time are charged at $1.00 per minute. Breaking down
into individual, shorter files will be an extra charge.

delivered on data CD or DVD depending upon total file
size.
Popular file types include:
- MPEG1 – These files are a popular format for
computer usage only. They are drag and drop files
which make them easy to use in a home editing
program or Power Point Presentation. It is
comparable to VHS is quality.
- Video-CD (VCD) – This CD format contains an
MPEG1 file (see above) along with data files which
enables playback on both a computer and any
compatible DVD player.
- QuickTime – These files were originally designed
for Apple computers but will play in Windows
machines with an easily downloaded program.
QuickTime formats have a number of applications and
can be adjusted to many different levels of quality
for any number of applications.
- Window Media Files (WMV) – These files play with
the Windows Media Player. They are very small files
and are often used to email and for web sites. These
files can be rendered in a number of different
settings to make getting your file size small enough
for usage without totally destroying the quality.
These files are smaller than MPEG1 files but with
similar quality if not too compressed.

DVD-R
A DVD-R is a high quality copy which will play in
most recently made DVD players and is the best format
for transferring older video tapes. If your original
tape is in good shape you will see no quality loss,
whatsoever ,when we convert it to DVD-R. Some older DVD
players, manufactured before 2002, may be incompatible.
We can fit up to 2 hours of full quality program on a
DVD. More than two hours on a DVD-R is possible,
however, it is necessary to reduce the quality settings
and can result in artifacting during playback on some
machines.

Direct editing to DVD (movies, photos, slides, etc.) is
not practical at this time and should be treated as a 2
step process. See Quality

DVC-Pro, Betacam-SP
DVC-Pro and Betacam-SP are broadcast formats mostly
used by TV and cable companies. We can transfer Betacam
SP to VHS, DVD, Mini-DV, Etc. Cost is $35.00 per hour
and includes tape stock or blank DVD.
